The new Director level position is based in Northern NJ and reports to the VP of Technology for this $4B ('06 proj. annual sales) business group. There is ample career development opportunity for the successful hired candidate. The qualified candidate will need to possess 10+ years experience reflecting progressively more significant accomplishments in the areas of project process management activities that result in the commercialization of new product solutions. Experience successfully working with cross functional teams composed of decision makers from: R&D, Marketing, Legal / Intellectual Property and business leadership is necessary. The new Director will be responsible for using process management tools such as Six Sigma and other stage gate oriented systems to help speed along the commercialization process. The purpose of "Velocity Technology Development" is to add pace to commercializing new products by facilitating communication among project team members that will result in quicker, better decisions and actions. This is a particularly exciting opportunity for a person who excels at intuitively pinpointing the most important aspects of specific projects where the process may be moving slowly for the wrong reasons, and then working quickly and persuasively to make the process move ahead rapidly by employing well accepted/proven project management systems and tools. Because this is a Director level responsibility there will be ample opportunity to work closely with the VP Technology as well as interact with the CEO and President of the business group. A staff of several Velocity Tech managers will report to the new Director. Qualified candidates will be supplied with a FULL POSITION Spec detailing the opportunity. | |
